It is often observed that Schlitt is difficult to categorize. We take the observation as a compliment. Enterprises that are easy to categorize have usually chosen their work by sector; we choose ours by obligation, and obligations do not respect sectors.
What unites the portfolio is not a product but a posture. Each division holds something on behalf of people who could not hold it alone: a landscape, a shoreline, a cycle of nourishment, a young life in preparation, a tradition of craft. Each division is expected to conduct itself so that the others would recognize it.
The divisions below are described in the plain terms we prefer. Capability statements, like all Schlitt communications, describe what we habitually do rather than what we once did or hope to claim.
