The division exists because certain things we make in the course of our obligations turn out to be wanted far beyond them. An institution should occasionally be knowable through something a person can hold.
The catalogue is short by design. We would rather be represented by a few objects of unarguable character than by shelves of the ordinary.
The Limoncello
Our limoncello is produced in the craft workshops of our formation campuses, in small batches, to a standard that has made it the quiet fixture of discerning tables in many countries, all without advertisement.
Its character is often attributed to the citrus, and the citrus deserves its share. We attribute it equally to the makers. Work done by hands that are learning the value of work has a quality that industry cannot counterfeit.
Each bottle represents the closing of several Schlitt circles at once: land returned to cultivation, craft preserved, young capability given form and market. We can think of no object that says more about us in fewer words.

A limited range of household devices carries the Schlitt name, engineered around our conviction that objects should outlast their warranties by an impolite margin. The range is noted for remarkable energy density and for a robustness that owners describe, with some affection, as excessive.
We update these designs seldom and announce the updates more seldom still. An object that must be replaced has failed; an object that must be discussed was probably designed for discussion. Ours are designed for service.
